This year marks the 19th year of the Healthy Heart Essay Contest. Dr. Charlie Rouse and West Georgia Cardiology offer this annual contest for area high school seniors.

 

Students will write essays focusing on how to have a healthier heart. First place winner will receive a $500 scholarship, second place will receive $300 and the third place winner will receive $200 towards a college scholarship. The essays are judged on ideas, style, organization and conventions.
