On May 30, 2026, The Rouse Foundation, in collaboration with West Georgia Cardiology, proudly hosted our annual King of Hearts Men’s Health Event. This event was created with a simple but important mission: to encourage men to prioritize their health and seek preventive care before serious health concerns arise.
Too often, men delay seeking medical attention until symptoms become severe or conditions have progressed. Just as a vehicle requires routine maintenance to operate efficiently and prevent costly repairs, our bodies also require regular checkups, screenings, and healthy lifestyle habits to function at their best.
The King of Hearts Men’s Health Event aims to increase awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare, cardiovascular health, and overall wellness among men in our community.
In addition to providing preventive services, The Rouse Foundation provided each participant with access to information from the Association of Black Cardiologists, BMI assessments, selected A1C screenings, EKGs, and mailed PSA tests, cholesterol tests, Cologuard tests for participants over 40, STD and STI screenings, access to family and internal medicine physicians, a mental health professional, and much more.
We are grateful to West Georgia Cardiology for their continued partnership and dedication to serving our community. We also extend our sincere thanks to all volunteers, healthcare professionals, sponsors, and attendees who helped make this event a success.
Together, we can continue breaking down barriers to healthcare and encouraging men to take charge of their health. Because strong men build strong families, strong communities, and a healthier future for all.
