The Rouse Foundation has started a Mini Chef Academy program in partnership with the Douglas County School System After-School Program at Annette Winn Elementary School and Factory Shoals Elementary School.
In the 15-week program, students will learn ways to live healthier by eating well and exercising. They will share their knowledge with their loved ones and friends.
The pictures shown were taken during a lesson titled Deeper into the Heart. Students learned about the four chambers of the heart and how deoxygenated blood becomes oxygenated blood by pumping through the heart and lungs and flows to the body.
The pictures were from November 30 at Factory Shoals Elementary School and December 1 at Annette Winn Elementary School.
