Sweetwater Elementary Mini Chef Academy Graduation

The Sweetwater Elementary School students in the Douglas County School System were honored for their hard work and dedication in completing The Rouse Foundation Mini Chef Academy on March 30, 2026. These young chefs have gained educational tools focusing on nutrition, exercise, and heart health, fostering lifelong habits for healthy living. 

During the graduation students were able to demonstrate the “ Walk Through The Heart”. The walk is designed to reinforce their understanding of cardiovascular health and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. 

The students received refreshments, certificates and gifts. Superintendent Trent North was also present for the ceremony.  Thank you, Douglas County School System, for spreading awareness on how to maintain a healthy heart through eating healthy and exercising.
